The Challenge of Public Writing

Starting a blog. Let's see how it goes/flows. Right now, I hope I will be comfortable to write freely to share whatever is on my mind. I'm somewhat private, but would like to contribute by talking about the things that I've put much effort into understanding.

I believe in openness and honesty, but it's scary how public a blog is. Assuming I write fairly honestly in it - because why write anything if it's not true, right? - it feels vulnerable, and I find myself thinking of the not-so-flattering judgments I've heard of me.

As if anyone was something that's static, unchangeable, that could be known and therefore labeled once and for all and forever. But despite acknowledging the static-ness of judgments, making them seem unfit for describing living things that keep becoming something different from what they just were, the idea of not being liked, understood, and accepted, is scary to me. But then, remaining private to avoid being mis-seen is frustrating.

Let's see how it goes.
